How does the concept work?

• Membership is restricted to TGCSA ***, TGCSA **** and TGCSA***** properties only.

• Properties are classified into a three star (Silver) category, four star (Gold) category and five star plus (Platinum) category.

• Navigäst Pty Ltd reserves the right to allow members who meet all the above criteria but are not officially graded. In these cases, input from all existing members will be requested.

• Member hotels deposit room nights (a minimum of 20 at a time), onto the Hotelroomswops system.

• Simultaneously, an administrative fee equal to R150,00 per room night is payable.

• In exchange, each member receives a user name and password to access the inventory of member hotels and request the same number of room nights as deposited, from various hotels, over a twelve month period.

  Who may use these room nights?

• These room nights can be for yourself as owner, or for family and friends.

• They may also be used in your staff incentive and rewards program.

• Use them to reward an important client with a special getaway.

• Or how about sweetening a package that you are selling to tourists, by adding a free night or two at a destination en route to your hotel?

  The possibilities are endless - and with a wide variety of hotels to choose from, you will always find available nights.

  What control do I have over these bookings?

• Because the reservation process is manual, each hotel owner has full control over how many nights per month are available to other members and when to book them in.

• You also have the freedom to determine your own Exchange Profile, which appears whenever another member requests nights at your hotel. You may decide to only take Hotelroomswop bookings 21, 14 or 7 days prior to arrival, or you could specify the months or time of year when you have nights available. The choice is yours.

• When a request is made on the Hotelroomswaps site, an email is generated to our central reservations office and the reservation physically comes through your front desk, facilitating yield management.

  There are no lengthy contracts and no hidden costs. What you see is what you get - and if the system does not work for you, simply never deposit nights again.
